I'm not here for your entertainment
He takes my hand…
You don't really want
to mess with me tonight
“Get off me…”
Just stop and take a
second
Another kiss…
I was fine before you
walked into my life
“Stop it!”
-----------Earlier that day-----------
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Ariel!” Brandon handed me a box of chocolates and a
bouquet of roses.
“Uh, Valentine’s day was last week.” I giggled and took the gifts.
“Yeah, I know, but I couldn’t get off work, remember?” He did his beautiful
half-smile. “Get dressed, we’re going out!”
“Going out? Where?” I questioned him, refusing to budge.
“That’s a secret.” He does that smile again.
“Ugh, fine.” I stomped off. “I’ll go get dressed.”
“Wear something nice!” Brandon yelled up.
“Ugh, fine!” I yelled back down, trying to state my dissatisfaction about going
somewhere. I heard him laugh about my obvious hatred of this plan.
I quickly put on a dress and did my hair and went back
downstairs, where Brandon was waiting by the door. “Heheh, you look nice.” He
flashed me another heart-melting smile and walked me to the car.
It was a long, silent drive to wherever it was we were going. I tried asking
him where we were headed, but he wouldn’t tell me.
When we finally arrived, I saw that we were at the karaoke bar, some place that
I seemed to find myself visiting often. He walked me inside, where I saw Aria,
Danielle, Willow, Mila, and Larn.
“Surprise!” They all yelled, annoying the bartender. I shot Brandon a menacing
look, which he laughed at.
“What’s going on?” I asked, surprised that everyone was here.
“Hahah, since I couldn’t do anything for you for Valentine’s day, we decided to
throw you a little party!” Brandon beamed. I was actually happy that he was
doing this for me. It’d been a while since I had done anything for Valentine’s
Day. Brandon started to smile when he noticed that I was smiling, so I quickly
turned my head away, which made him laugh. “So, I’m guessing you know everyone
here, right?” I nodded. “Great!” I went up to the bar and ordered a drink,
which I gulped down. After a minute of sitting there, Larn and Mila walked up
to me.
“Hey!” Mila waved. “I invited Larn, cause you all looked like friends last time
I saw you two.” She smiled. Not really, I hardly knew him, but I wasn’t going
to tell her that. In fact, he sorta scared me.
“Uh, alright.” I responded. “Hey, I gotta use the bathroom, if that’s alright
with you.” I walked through them, and headed to the bathroom, where I stared
into the mirror. Why was I so afraid of him? What has Larn done to me to make
me so nervous around him? I was interrupted from my thoughts by a stepping
sound, and when I turned around, I saw a pink man I have never seen before
staring at me.
“Ariel Spencer, right?” He asked, walking towards me.
“Uh, yeah.” I responded warily.
“Hey! My name is Cupid—yes, like the mythological son of Aphrodite. In fact,
that’s who I am.” He smiled, and I almost laughed at this story. “I understand
you’re running a 100 Baby Challenge, right? I wanna help!”
“Uh, okay, well then let’s—” He waved his hand and a pink wave of color
surrounded me, engulfing me in pleasure and pink. When my vision came back to
normal, ‘Cupid’ was no longer standing there and Larn was walking through the
door.
“Hey, Ariel, you rushed out of there pretty quick, you okay?” He smiled as he
got closer to me.
“Uh, yeah, j-just fine.” I turn my head away for a second, and when I turn
back, his face is close to mine. And, for unknown reasons to me, he kissed me.
He takes me hand. “Get off me.” He kisses me again. “Stop it!” I push him off
of me and he hits the stall and falls down. I run out of the bathroom and into
the bar, where everyone was laughing and socializing, until they heard me slam
the door open. They all looked at me in shock and disbelief as I barged through
the door, the look of anger on my face matching the anger in my heart. “I’m leaving.”
I announced, grabbing Brandon by the hand, and dragging him to the car.
